Whitby March 2003

Robin Hood Bay

Just along the coast from Whitby, and residing on the steep road to the sea, this fishing village used to be home for smugglers. Along the beach is Boogle Hole, a small cave in the cliff. |

At one end of the North York Moors Railway, Grosmont sits on the junction between the mainline railway and the steam railway. |

Goathland

Doubling as Aidensfield in the ITV series Heartbeat, Goathland is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The garage and village shops still display the signs of being a fictional place. |
